The Tale of Tatsu-no-miya (2019)
Overview
Takarazuka Star Troupe 2019 performance. Long, long ago, a lake called Yasha-ga-ike dried up. The village headman sacrificed his daughter to the dragon god who dwelt in the lake, and the rains returned to the village.... In the middle Meiji Period, Iyobe Kiyohiko, a student under the tutelage of the businessman Shimamura, is telling ghost stories with his friends when the tale of Yasha-ga-ike is told. Kiyohiko then sets out for the lake to put his courage to the test, when he encounters a girl being set upon by brigands. When Kiyohiko saves the girl, she brings him to the dragon god's castle (Tatsu-no-miya) at the bottom of the pond as a thank you.

The Fascination
As there are increasing performances in the Takarazuka Revue, in 1921, the Flower Troupe and the Moon Troupe were born, and the first Flower Troupe performance was held. The year 2021 celebrates the 100th anniversary for the Flower Troupe. And in this performance, it will be led by the new top combi Yuzuka Rei and Hoshikaze Madoka. The glamourous work of "The Fascination" will celebrate the establishment and 100th anniversary of the Flower Troupe. Please look forward to the gorgeous dance settings of the "flower" theme, that connects the tradition and future "fascination" of the flower troupe in this stage.

Conrad is aiming to become a movie star, but hasn’t had his breakthrough yet. For his final chance, he goes to attend a screen-test for new and upcoming actors for a major motion picture. However, Jerry Crawford, a young movie star heartthrob, is chosen for the lead role instead. The screen-test being for new and upcoming actors was merely a gimmick. Once Conrad learns the truth, he makes his way to the studio, enraged. Once there, he sees former top actress Amanda. Conrad lacks the acting skills and expressions required to become a star, so Amanda offers to instruct him on the secret to pulling the audience’s gaze towards him. At the end of the Edo Period, there was a legendary chivalrous thief who stole from rich merchants and self-serving samurai and gave to the virtuous people of the town. His name was Nezumi-kozo (Rat Boy) Jirokichi. This musical is about how he competed with and was friends with the hero of so many period dramas (Touyama Kinshiro), and about the loves they surrounded themselves with in the new and progressive Japan. A Takarazuka take on the tale of Nezumi-kozo.

Lucian believes that Charlotte was set up, so he goes to Lord Garnier's lands to contact his heir Emma, Garnier's daughter by his first wife. The Moulin Rouge, a red windmill at the foot of Montmartre, is a symbol of this era. A young man comes to visit the Moulin Rouge. This man calls himself “Jacques Valette,” and begs to be allowed to work at this dreamlike place. With his arrival, the whole world of the Moulin Rouge is about to be turned on its head!
